I am a 21 year old self taught amateur photographer from small town Stirling, Alberta. Been interested in photography since I was a little kid. It's been a hobby ever since I got my hands on my very first point and shoot camera.. Now that I have my own way of transportation I have got even more into photography and actually getting out and shooting more. Flickr has been a great inspiration to me since I joined. I love the sense of community that Flickr has to offer as well the advice from other fellow photographers is great too.

Being a carpenter for three years myself, I really admire older architecture and the craftsmanship that went into it. My favorite scenes to capture are the beautiful wooden grain elevators that are fast fading from our prairie town's skylines. Another interest of mine is abandonment of any sort, such as ghost towns, farm houses, barns, and machinery. I am attracted to those simple yet unexplainable questions as to why these places sit abandoned and lonely or what it must have looked like in its prime. Now that I am in school I have kind of broke out of my comfort zone and have begun taking still life photos of people. Which I hope to get more into.

I try to stick to those less explored places, places my viewers would rarely see or go. When I am out on a shoot I try to document as much as possible sometimes taking hundreds of photos at one place. As I have learned the hard way, you never know if it will be there when you return.

I try to keep my photos as natural as possible without editing to much. Except for the odd photo every now and then. I really love textures and am starting to get more into Photoshopping my photos. I don't call myself a pro, but hope one day to become good enough to eventually make my hobby a second career. There you have it...I know, pretty boring. Please feel free to give tips and comments are always welcomed. Any who thanks for looking!
