Despite a long lasting love affair with cameras and dark rooms, I started thinking more seriously about photography on the morning of January 1st 2004 when I decided to create my own photoblog, Still Memory. I wanted to dedicate a part of me to my passion, that is capturing moments in time, things that catch my eye and leave traces in memory. The photoblog has since went through many changes as other social media websites came to life, and eventually settled into a small portfolio collecting pixels dust.

Prints are available through Etsy and Imagekind.

Riri's got the goods; she always has a new perspective on a common scene to give you a fresh look, and leaves some of the best comments on Flickr :D I'm glad to know her!

Irina is such a wonderful woman. She's inspiring and someone to look to for influence. Her images are refeshing, direct and honest. I'm happy to have her as a friend on here and honoured that she regards me so highly.

Irina is one of the best people I know. She doesn't just make great photographs, she makes great things happen in the real world, things that make the world a better place. I'm blessed to be pulled into her real world.

Quite simply, Irina's photos make me smile and remind me that it's not always about fame and fortune (or a portfolio-worthy shot for every day of the year), but about sharing your experiences and having fun. Thank you!

Irina is a versatile photographer who captures everyday life in interesting ways, has a fun sense of the absurd, uses gorgeous colours and repetition to great advantage, and opens our eyes to a world of wonder and appreciation.

There are a few people out there that I would call a medium. There are fewer people that I would actually believe. There is only one person I know that can directly communicate with the dead. The things the dead say are pertty boring though, so I don't ask her to do it often.

She is truly amazing and versatile. I have 'known' Riri before she became serious about photography, but to my eyes she has been serious before that --- well at least talented. She has such an eye for the camera and what it can catch and how to manipulte the camera to get the best of any thing at all. Riri has very… Read more

Riri has very much been an inspiration in getting me to make better and more frequent use of my camera.

When I first met Irina, she was quiet and unassuming. Little did I know, there is a fire in this woman that can light up a room. Talented, Beautiful and creative.

Riri is one of those photographers for whom you wish there could be "contacts" and "favourite contacts" - I was lucky enough to stumble across her pics on a critique request and spent the best part of an hour just getting to page 18 of her stream! She has a great eye for composition, detail and colour, especially in the "abandoned" context but also with lighter, more fun shots. I look forward to seeing more!

Irina is an amazing photographer. Her portraits of children have a way of reminding the viewer of what childhood is like. Her street photography captures scenes that are often missed by the normal eye. And her self-portraits show that she has courage and creativity in front of the camera as well. Irina's images have a way of sparking the viewer's imagination, leaving her sets a joy to view time and again. While her photos are versatile, they all possess an honesty and warmth, which is surely a reflection of her.

Some photographers are like a one-trick pony, their photographs are always of the same sort of things. Although you might enjoying seeing the trick the first few times there reaches a point when it just becomes mundane. To our good fortune Irina is not a one-trick pony. Whether she is photographing the colors of autumn, taking portraits of people, or exploring abandoned buildings her photographs are interesting and inspiring. Her photographs speak of someone who is willing to take a chance and try something new or creative. She understands that photography is about trying to look at the world differently, to see what others overlook. I appreciate the photographs Irina chooses to share with us and look forward to what she'll offer us next.
