I just enjoy taking pictures, I'm happiest taking pictures rather than spending hours in front of a screen.

I subscribe to the theory that the skill of a great photographer is in their ability to get the picture right in the camera. This is my target....I'll keep on practicing until.....

I am the vice chair of the Ashbourne and District Camera Club in the UK and I'm lucky to be amongst a friendly group of like minded people who are open to sharing their accumulated knowledge with each other. (ashbournecameraclub.co.uk).

This has led me into the world of competitive club photography with a very, very small degree of success but from this experience I'm learning a bit more about photography.

I've won a couple of local Photography competitions....so technically I'm an award winning photographer 😌😄 I've got the rosettes to prove it.

I'm a spontaneous photographer using a Fuji XT-4 and a Fuji X-T30 along with my mobile phone and a healthy dose of trial and error.

I am currently favouring my 50mm prime lens but I nearly always have my 70 - 300mm zoom lens with me in my bag.
