I have recently made my way back to taking pictures for the sake of taking pictures thanks to the influence (positive, I think) of my good friend Ernest. My N6006, a frequent companion for several years, had been sitting unused for a good 5 years once the convenience of P&S digital trumped the fun of multiple lenses... once I got my hands on the D5000 the photo bug came back. Now I'm shooting with a D90, which I am enjoying even more. I'm solidly on the novice side of enthusiast, but I love the look of the world through the viewfinder.

Making it even more enjoyable now is that my 10 and 7 year old daughters have become excited about taking pictures (though to be fair, they do get tired of me taking so many pictures of them... and everything else... all the time). It is a great hobby to share with them and a good way to introduce them to social media to boot.
