I was born in New York City, in 1940. I've been an outdoor adventurer, teacher/guide and photographer all my life. My academic endeavors concluded with a Masters degree in Anthropology from Harvard University, in 1970. My wife, Kathy, and I founded and have been operating New Wave Rafting Co, on the Rio Grande River in NM, since 1980. In the winter we are ski instructors, presently at Taos Ski Valley, NM. We live on the Rio Grande, in Embudo, NM.

In 2005, my book of photography: "The Grand, The Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, a Photo Journey", was published by the Wilderness Press and Grand Canyon Association. After this print book was sold out I published a much-expanded version as an iBook:

The collection found here represents both scanned slides and B&W negatives (35mm, 2 1/4 sq. and 4X5) that date back to the mid-60s, and digital photography up through around 2010.
