The Furry Fandom is exactly what you think it is. What you see, what you feel, and experience, is all very personal. No one single person can tell you exactly what furry is. If you ask someone what they feel, they can only tell you what they’ve seen, what they’ve felt, and what they’ve experienced. Maybe you’ll even get a textbook definition, if said person hasn’t been exposed to Furry.

When I was a little kit living in Mexico, I saw the world differently than everyone else around me. What I saw were family barbecues at my late grandfathers’ ranch; people swimming in the olympic size pool, playing tennis on one of the four large gated tennis courts, kids playing with their toys on the large open land available to them. I felt the love from my family, my friends, and from the rural community we lived in. What I experienced were some of the best years of my childhood.

My parents on the other hand, saw rampant drug cartels, family members kidnapped for ransom, and later mutilated alive in front of their family and children, if the kidnapers wishes weren’t met. They felt the adrenaline rush that you get when you’re suddenly under gunfire due to local cartel territorial disputes. They experienced the worst that humanity had to offer. If you asked my parents, they would tell you that Mexico is not the best place to raise children.

What I felt and what my parents felt are directly opposing but both equally real. I bring all this up because what I saw, what I felt, what I experienced when I was younger, was all mine; I was proud of what I went through and happy that I did.

Now, I am not recommending that you visit Mexico anytime soon but what I am saying, is that what I saw, what I felt, what I experienced, was vastly different from what anyone else could’ve told you. It does not invalidate what I went through or what any one else went through.

Here on my Flickr, you will only find how I see Furry; through my eyes, and my lens. All the work that goes into editing each and every photo, is done to better represent what I felt at the exact moment I decided to take what I saw through my viewfinder, as my own.

Every photograph on my account represents what I’ve experienced through Furry and why I love it. I hope that you look through these albums and see for yourself, why I do.
