Steven Keirstead lives in East Blue Hill, Maine. Steven was born in Vietnam to American parents, grew up in Western North Carolina, and started taking photos with a Kodak Brownie at age four. Steven studied photography with Peter T. Brown and Geoff Winningham at Rice University. He has worked in conventional optical and black & white silver based photography, but now uses digital equipment for photographic work. He enjoys printing his own photographs. Steven works as EH&S Coordinator at MDI Biological Lab in Bar Harbor Maine. He is married to Mr. Lansing Wagner, an anthropologist and ceramic artist. Gay, liberal, loves to cook, kayak, and hike.
