An Outstanding Man

…typically out standing near a cool building,

waterfall, Church, old plant (as in manufacturing),

old plant (as in 200 year old tree), or sliding my

kayak into a lake to shoot a BEAutiful Sunrise or Sunset.

During the day I'm a sales geek and sales trainer for a great scientific manufacturing company (love that job and it pays the bills).

By night and weekend I'm a freelance and fun-time photographer (wish it could pay the bills!).

Started with Nikon in 1978 shooting scenes in Northern Minnesota, moved to Nikon Digital in 2011. Actually the story goes... I loved film photography, had all my Nikons stolen, went to point and shoot while my kids were growing up. Now that the kids are a bit older I have time to shoot more, and a bit more money, it was time for some new fun Nikon 'stuff'!

I like the look of HDR, but to me that's more 'art' and less photography. I like the photo to be as close to what the naked eye saw as possible. Oh what the heck, it's time to start playing around a bit with HDR!

I love taking shots of cool buildings, waterfalls, churches, American flags in different settings, old buildings, night shots with long exposures, creative day shots with long exposures, sunrises and sunsets; Every once in a while I take a (non-family related) people photo. I tried wedding photography for a while, but trees and buildings don't complain and they usually stand still...

...and lets be honest, it's easier! :---)

Having the time of my life as my kids all like photography as well, and my fantastic bride allows me the time (and money) to have fun with this. Can't ask for much more than that. Well I could, but I won't.
