I taught Photography, Digital Media, Video, and English in public high schools in Florida, South Carolina, and California over 31 years. I'm into old VWs, chess, and playing ice hockey, among a few other interests.

After taking a few years off from actively shooting, I started using Flickr to host my 365 Photo Challenges for 2017 and 2018. I did it again in 2020, shooting exclusively black and white film with classic Nikon cameras -- every day! I developed my own film and scanned the negatives for viewing here on Flickr. I disclose the camera settings for my students and anyone who wants to learn more about photography.

I taught 18 photography composition and design elements to my students: Balance, Texture, Symmetry, Repetition, Reflection, Rule of Thirds, Dominance of Object, Convergence, Depth, Unusual Perspective, Leading Lines, Visual Flow, Contrast, Quality of Light, Motion, Human Emotion, Unexpected Combination, and Framing/Cropping. I always consider these when shooting most everything these days.

In the fall of 2024, I moved back to the west coast of Florida, where I continue pursuit of my aforementioned interests.

If you have any thoughts or comments for me, I'd like to hear from you!
