Not only is Steve the Top Dog when it comes to shooting...er.. top dogs.. but he is a speed-light impresario... His one day lighting workshops are LEGENDARY... i turned up not even knowing what OCL stood for, but after several hours of immaculately clear tutorial, lots and lots of hands on practice and a whole dictionary of new lighting words [snoot! trigger! -2 stops of ambient!] ... came away with enough knowledge to Have A Go alone. The result was a runner's up position in a world wide off camera lighting competition, run by the Big Daddy of strobism, Mr David Hobby. Steve is a more than excellent teacher... patient, thoughtful and clear... try one of his courses... the world'll look a whole brighter afterwards [and you'll be able to control the shadows..!!!]
