I got hooked early, seeing how a powerful photo could tell a story without words.

The first time I saw my pictures published in the local newspaper, I knew I had found my life’s work. I'm passionate about photography as a way to connect people. Trained as a photojournalist, I worked tirelessly for local and national newspapers…always striving to get that one image that captured the person or event. Seeing my pictures published in the San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times, or Wall Street Journal gave me the same thrill I experienced as a kid…the satisfaction that my photos were telling a story.

My dual focus today is capturing the essence of a person in a portrait, or chronicling

key moments at an event/conference. My secret to a good portrait is creating a relaxed setting where my client feels both comfortable and natural. Clients tell me my sense of humor puts them at ease ... and I'm not finished until my client is happy with the portrait.

Events/Conferences ... the second focus, draws more on my journalistic background to capture the people and evolving moments that tell the day's story. In recent years, I have helped commercial clients, universities, and professionals project their unique capabilities online, in publications and the media.

Today, my commercial work takes me all over the San Francisco Bay Area ... Palo Alto, San Jose, Oakland. Large companies. Small companies. High tech. Biotech. Law firms. Stanford University.
