I don't casually through out praise, but Steve is certainly deserving of all I toss on. His mind is always going a mile a minute and that is evident in his highly creative and inventive art which he has shared with me for several years. I am always suprised and delighted to see what he is cooking up in his studio and am so impressed by the broad range of the vast body of work he has developed. In addition, he is a great supporter of his fellow artists, always at the ready with effusive praise for those he honors and with purchases when he is able. Steve has been a great friend and mentor and I hope you review his work in depth. You are sure to find many things to delight your eye and mind.

OK, this guy Steve is up to his raised eyebrows in fabulous, nutty, delightful ideas. It helps that he has the splendid talent to go with those ideas to make the most marvelous art I've come across in a good while. I have to say that I share his passion for toys, machines, inexplicable situations and a little cynicism of the world we live in. He is able to entertain and on the same delicious platter serve up a lot to think about. It is a rather rare and wonderful gift to make us laugh and nod our heads and also feel the occasional tug of heart at the world gone a bit goofy around us. I so enjoy his world and am always so amazed at what comes up next. The world, in it's most upside down, inside out adventures....that is the world of the painting of Steve Frenkel.
