Drag to set position!
Stephen D. Melkisethian is a Washington DC native residing in East Bethesda, Maryland. Special interests include documentary style, music and and commercial product photography. From 1999 to 2012 almost all of of Steve's documentary style work was done on 35mm black and white film, mainly with Leica rangefinder cameras although he's presently blending lots of Nikon D-800 digital images into the mix. He still maintains a dedicated two station wet darkroom and does all of his own film processing and printing by hand. One of Steve's 9-11 pictures is in the collections of the Library Of Congress and the New York Public Library. He's also a contributor to the Josh McPhee's widely traveled Paper Politics print show and both editions of the Paper Politics book. All of his commercial product photography is digital and can be seen on the Angela Instruments website www.angela.com.
Since his Flickr launch at the beginning of 2013 Steve's digital documentary photographs have appeared on the following websites; Common Dreams, truthdig, Dandelion Salad, People's Tribune, Scientific American, Socialist Worker, CHICAGOTALKS, Black News Network,
