Retired, resilient, and finally giving myself permission to breathe.

I’m in my 68th year now, and for most of my life I’ve known something fundamental was out of place. I didn’t have the language for it back in the 60s — difference didn’t have a name then — but I had the feeling. A quiet, persistent knowing that the world saw one thing and I felt another. I wasn’t trying to rebel; I was just trying to make sense of myself in a time when nobody talked about these things.

There were small moments that kept me going: a scarf borrowed for a second too long, a glance in the mirror that felt like recognition rather than confusion. Those little sparks stayed with me. They grew. And eventually, I could name what I’d always known.

Stephany doesn’t go out into the world. She lives here, in the safety of my home — in the kitchen where I cook, in the garden where I breathe, in the clothes that finally match the person inside. This is my sanctuary, not a stage. My photos are simply me being me, nothing more complicated than that.

Mrs Steph knows everything. She’s my anchor, my witness, and the reason I can live this truth with peace rather than fear. When our daughter found out, her first question was, “What’s your preferred pronoun?” I told her, “Dad.” That’s love. That’s family.

A few people tried to ‘out’ me once, thinking they could cause trouble. They didn’t. My marriage held firm, my resolve hardened, and the law now recognises that outing someone is a hate crime. I won’t hesitate to protect my dignity.

This stream is just a record of my journey — my style, my humour, my small joys. Now and then there’s a lingerie photo, always tasteful, always light‑hearted. No explicit content. No nonsense.

“Sixty years of silence, now spoken in satin.” That about sums it up.

My albums are organised by year and month. Comments are welcome. Favourites are not — I prefer conversation to collecting.
