I have a lot of hobbies. Photography is a relatively new one for me. My parents were and still are outstanding photographers. Most of what I know about framing and proportion I absorbed by osmosis from them and the hours we spent with the slide projector in our family's living room. I take pictures of my cat, my friends and relations, my jewelry, the other things I make, my garden, my neighborhood, the forest preserve near my office, the family cottage, and other interesting things I happen upon.

My first and most-loved craft is jewelry-making. I even went to school for it, some twenty-odd years ago. After many years of doing it intermittently, I've fallen in love with metal and stone again. Recently I started an Etsy shop, WireWork, to sell my pieces. I'll be posting pictures here of my work. Most of the jewelry I post will be available for sale at my Etsy shop. Teaching myself to photograph my jewelry for the shop has been quite an education--I've learned more about light in the last month than I ever knew before.
