The European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI) – ‘Exploring opportunities’

The institute makes an active and inspiring contribution to tourism futures by using scenario planning methodologies. The ETFI is ‘painting pictures about the future of tourism’ by compiling future scenarios in close collaboration with key representatives from the industry, governmental organisations and researchers and experts from various fields. This methodology is distinctive to common forecasting techniques as it aims to create a common vision of all key stakeholders by actively involving them in the co-creation and implementation of the scenarios. ‘Together we can inspire the world of tourism!’
