STELLECONFUSE

The artist is one of the most important and active Italian protagonists of STICKER ART, a new form of expression born on the street, using stickers in order to spread messages and images.

The Stelleconfuse’s stickers can be seen in the streets of the most important cities of the world with the goal to transmit through symbols and logos a message of hope and denunce at the same time.

In fact the Plant-a-Tree Project (Plant-a-Tree in the world) is a cry of protest against the uncontrolled cementation of land, against the silence of the media and against the arrogance of those who have the power and malevolence to leave the cities to the uncontrolled growing of buildings.

Stelleconfuse is famous especially for his combo-sticker, realized using the stickers of the most important sticker-artists worldwide and combining them in huge collages. They are both original Stelleconfuse’s works and a collection of various artists' works.

During the last few years Stelleconfuse hasn't remained confined in the single role of artist but he has also cured and planned events. In 2010 he has created the event “Stick On Haring!” (2010 "Stick On Haring!" Combo Sticker Project), realizing wood shapes covered with stickers in live performances in homage to the artist Keith Haring in memory of the 20th anniversary of his death.

The combo-shapes are now in tour, participating to other events and expositions in Italy and all around the world.

L’artista è uno dei più importanti ed attivi protagonisti in Italia della Sticker Art, una nuova forma di espressione nata sulla strada dove messaggi ed immagini sono trasmessi attraverso adesivi.

Nell'ambito della sua ricerca, Stelleconfuse mantiene un costante e significativo collegamento con altri artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo; con i quali condivide l'interesse per lo stickering, ovvero la creazione e diffusione di adesivi nell'ambiente urbano. I temi trattati dagli artisti di sticker art, sono quelli delle emergenze culturali contemporanee (ad esempio ecologici e sociali) trattati con intelligenza ed estremo rigore grafico. Gli interventi eseguiti sull’ambiente urbano di solito sono minimi e di brevissima durata.

Gli adesivi di Stelleconfuse sono presenti oramai sulle strade delle principali città del mondo, tra questi i più importanti sono quelli che appartengo al progetto ”Plant a Tree”.

Il progetto “Plant-a-Tree” si è concretizzato nella creazione da parte dell'artista di un logo, inizialmente diffuso solamente su sticker, col quale intende lanciare un grido di protesta contro la cementificazione incontrollata del territorio.

L'artista ha scelto di trasmettere il suo messaggio attraverso un logo perchè crede fortemente che in un'epoca come quella in cui attualmente viviamo ( piena di sconvolgimenti sociali) l'importanza dei simboli debba manifestarsi, scuotere l'opinione pubblica e fornire conforto. Stelleconfuse vuole anche dimostrare, in un mondo dove solo i loghi prodotti dal capitalismo sembrano avere importanza, che c'è ancora spazio per unirsi sotto nuovi simboli portatori di un messaggio di speranza.

Stelleconfuse è famoso soprattutto per i suoi combo-sticker, opere da lui realizzate utilizzando adesivi dei più importanti sticker-artisti mondiali. I combo-sticker sono dei veri e propri collage realizzati unendo tra loro sticker in modo tale da creare una opera originale ma al tempo stesso formata dal contributo di tanti artisti diversi.

Stelleconfuse non è rimasto imprigionato nel solo ruolo di artista ma ha anche curato e progettato eventi. Nel 2010 ha ideato “Stick On Haring!”, un omaggio all’artista americano Keith Haring nel XX anniversario della sua scomparsa; per il quale ha realizzato delle sagome, di legno e di materie plastiche, che ha poi ricoperto di sticker provenienti da tutto il mondo in una performance live. Il concept iniziale si è poi sviluppato sviluppato nel corso degli anni ispirandosi al mondo della Pop Art in generale ed ha cambiato mome in “Melting Pot Melting Pop”. Questa nuova denominazione mette in evidenza il senso di unione e comunità che l'artista sente di primaria importanza.
