I am an amateur photographer from Alberta, Canada. As a profession, I am a teacher and I use to be an ecologist. I also paint with oils and write, mostly Fantasy. I have been taking photographs since I was a kid. My first attempts were highly unfocussed and poorly framed, but I still enjoy them because I remember how their subjects actually looked. Most of my subjects are still frame and have some component of nature or culture in them.

My photos are best viewed as sets. My first set is of Jedburgh School, Saskatchewan, a historic one-room Prairie school built in the 1920's to teach Ukrainian homesteaders from whom I am descended. I took photos of this school and the once-village now-hamlet of Jedburgh since the school is finally disintegrating from neglect (nearly ninety years after it was built) and I wanted to preserve a record of it before it collapsed.
