Spike is an Aussie born photographer now living with his wife in the San Francisco bay area- one of the most incredible places on earth. It's pretty amazing to get to live in a place you first visited as a wide-eyed traveler. My work focuses on fine art landscapes and I have a strong fascination with oceans and the seaside- strange for someone who grew up 1,000 miles from the nearest ocean or city?

I'm now a father, fairly besotted with my new daughter, and as a result of this change won't be doing as much landscape work this year it seems, baby photos anyone?

Sometimes I dabble with musician portrait work, I do a limited number of weddings each year but find true joy in the peace of nature and the created world. That used to also mean escaping the digital life of urban work, but those damn smartphones are too useful for shooting/traveling I no longer have any escape from technology.

None of my shots are messed with- all just minimally processed from RAW files or scans. If I do alter an image I will always note it clearly with my reasons. Large format prints available, gallery show in the works!
