The new Parish area of St David at Tywyn and St Mair at Machynlleth will serve the Roman Catholic Christians of the south Cambrian Coast. The Parish of St David and St Mair came into official existence on the 14th August 2016 following the closure of the Church of Christ the King at Aberdyfi on 13th August 2016. The Parish is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wrexham.
