Well, let's see. I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember, off and on. My first good camera was a Canon AE-1 Program that I bought back in 1984. I took a lot of pictures with it, as the boxes of photos and negatives can attest. I bought my first digital camera in 1999, which was a Kodak DC265. Finally, no more film to deal with. But then, less than a year later, I started working full time, and photography as a hobby got pushed further down my priorities list. Now, after a few false starts the last few years, I am determined to get it back up on the list and start shooting again on a fairly regular basis. I really haven't done much serious shooting since moving to Kentucky, and there is so much here I want to shoot. I am in the process of upgrading my camera again and am getting a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Then, I head out to conquer Kentucky...or at least document it in pictures. Any advise or opinions of my photos is welcome and appreciated. I will never be as good as some, but hope to eventually be better than most.

One of my other hobbies is genealogy. I have been working on my family history for about twenty years, and am now integrating it with my photography by taking pictures of ancestral graves, homesteads, photographs, etc. If you have any questions about my ancestry, check out my Ancestry.com family tree at:

if you are on Ancestry.com. If not, email me and I will get back to you.
