I have great reverence for handmade things; there's a spirit infused into them that can't be purchased for any amount of money.

I'm particularly nutty about old linens with embroidery or cutwork; crazy quilting, milliery flowers/ribbon work, origami, pyrography... The list goes on. Over time, I've learned many of these techniques; I'd hate for them to fade away.

I also love gardening, both indoors and out, and pretty much despise cooking-- all that hard work done over and over and over and... Well, I'd rather make something that lasts longer than a pot of stew.
