I used to licence my photos with a Wikimedia Commons compatible licence. During my holiday, I was writing articles on Wikipedia, uploading Files to Wikimedia Commons (with my account commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Stanzilla), when I found out that a Wikimedia user has uploaded nearly 600 pictures of mine into completely senseless categories on Wikimedia Commons. Nobody will ever use them on Wikipedia. They can not get deleted. This might not be the only one who does something like this, and who knows how many of my photos are already duplicated on Wikimedia Commons. As a result, I changed the licence of my photos here to CC By-NC-SA, so nobody can upload them to Wikimedia Commons any more.
