Stacy Niedzwiecki
Drag to set position!
Stacy Niedzwiecki started her career as a graphic and web page designer, winning numerous competitions. Four years ago, she expanded into digital imaging. After earning several awards for her nature photography, she began showing her work publicly in 2006.
Stacy began her studies in traditional illustration and graphic design at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Afterward, she served six years in the Army Reserves as an illustrator and graphics specialist.
Following her military service, she studied computer graphic design, earning a certificate in Electronic Publishing by completing courses in web page design, digital photo retouching and page layout. While working for the Amway Corporation in marketing, photography and employee communications, she was chosen to design the corporate internal communications intranet.
Ten years ago, she launched her successful freelance business. Stacy offers innovative design solutions for a wide variety of clients in the West Michigan area in addition to serving as webmaster for a number of organizations, including her latest project - michiganmoments.com.
Although her core skills are principally focused on graphic design and layout, Stacy now leverages her talents in digital photography and digital art. Her fascination with nature's beauty has found its way through the camera lens, earning awards in many art and photography competitions. Her work has been featured a variety of publications, such as the Michigan 24/7 photography book, Whisper in the Woods Nature Journal, Tasters Guild Journal, Michigan BLUE and Michigan History magazines, and the Explore St. Louis Official Visitors' Guide.
In August of 2008, two of Stacy’s artworks were selected to hang on display at the Governor’s Residence in Lansing as part of the Governor’s Residence Michigan Artists Program through July 2009.
Her most accomplished recognition is the installation of 64 of her nature images in the permanent art collection in the new Grand Rapids Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, which opened June 30, 2008.
Stacy was selected to compete in the Pro Division of the inaugural 2009 Pure Michigan Photo Contest. She worked in conjunction with the Muskegon/White Lake CVB . The competition ran from March through June 2009. Ten photographers competed for a $5000 cash prize in specific designated locations across the state. The beautiful award-winning images taken during the Competition became available in the book, Pure Michigan-Scenic Places.
