I was a third generation Local 104 Union Sheet Metal Worker for ten years until I stopped working to be a full time mom to my three boys Luke Brad and Charley. I worked in the shop fabricating sheet metal fittings as well as installing them in the field. I would get in trouble sometimes for spending to much time making it 'pretty";. Even though it was just a sheet metal fitting , it was always art to me....
I married a sheet metal worker, all the tools smells and materials had still been at my fingertips, but I didn't start making small sculpture and jewelry until a few years ago when took and enameling class from Evelyn Markasky....
t felt like coming home, learning a new way to create with metal. I primarily use recycled copper, wood, enamel, tin, and found object.....
