I got started in photography by borrowing my dad's Kodak 828 camera. The first camera of my own was a Kodak Instamatic 100.

For my 21st birthday, my parents got me a Fuji SLR that I used until it stopped working. Being in graduate school at the time, not not having much cash, I replaced the Fuji with a Pentax SLR.

Around 2001, I switched to digital and have not regretted it at all.

Kodak DC4800 (it died while photographing Versailles in 2005)

Fuji FinePix E510 that I purchased in Nice, France in 2005

Nikon D40 that I started using summer of 2008.

NikonD7500 that I started using in 2017.

I can also be found from time to time on the amateur radio bands as NM4SH.
