Fun-loving 30 something gal, no real expert with the camera, just snapping my life away in the hope that things will turn out well and I can learn from my mistakes thru the lens....and have lots of fun along the way.

I have an incredible passion for travel and I'm lucky enough to have visited such fabulous places over the years - I only wish I'd gotten into photography more years ago and bought a d-slr back then! I've just bought (April 2008) a Nikon D40 so I hope to start really getting into photography more - work and home life permitting that is.

I enjoy landscape photography (including city shots). I love trying to experiment with the camera from time to time and trying to capture something 'a bit different'. I've made some wonderful Flickr friends and I hope to make a few more.

My Grandad who sadly died at Christmas 2007, aged 90, loved taking photos. He took it up as a hobby, went to classes and a fews years ago his old Nikon camera sold at Christies in London. The passion to learn about photography has always burned quietly inside me and his passing has just released it fully. I have been left a tripod which he kept hold of and used some of my inheritance for the camera.... I hope I can do you proud Grandad.

It's going to take a long time to learn but it's going to be fun :)

Some notes...

* I'm not highly 'technical' with my camera (yet!) but I'm learning and since June 08 I am experimenting more and more off 'auto' and 'scene' modes and enjoying it so much.

* I always comment on my contacts photographs when I enjoy a photo.

* I'm not into spamming all my photos to lots and lots of groups to boost views, comments and favourites. When I do put my photos into groups it's just to share an image that I think is worth being seen.

* I am just more than happy to share myself and images with my contacts and enjoy eachothers streams and make new friends. I do however like to keep my contact list tidy and fairly small...people who have hundreds of contacts can't possibly manage and comment back.

* If you like what you see, feel free to stop by, say hello and leave a comment. I'm very new to all this so would appreciate 'constructive' criticism.

*I'm not an 'Explore Whore'. Having photos in Explore is nice but it doesn't mean they are the best and some people get obsessed by it.

* And remember, enjoy your own photographs - that's the most important thing of all :)

I live in North Wales with my husband Matt and our very unstable dog called Betty (aka Dogface).
