A Navy brat of Native American/Irish descent, I've lived in many places in my fun-filled years. :) I am a humble Geekette who loves gadgets, PCs, nature, critters, and photography. :) I recently replaced my beloved Yashica FRII 35mm film camera with a Canon 60D & am trying to get adjusted to the D-SLR world. Please bear with me. :) I try to capture the beauty of nature as it is, though I like to take artistic license on occasion. :) Most pictures I take are of my pets & garden, since I don't leave my home often (psssst..I work from home). Photography is one of my life-long loves, and I look forward to many adventures with my new camera.

I prefer to shoot with manual settings but am fairly new at this & my pics tend to be "hit or miss". I hardly use a flash but would like to get a good one to add to my arsenal and try my hand at flash photography.
