squareware is currently my full-time lifestyle, in addition to drinking tea and petting my cat.

After completing a bachelor's in political science + environmental studies, I floundered around for a bit until I began to rediscover my artistic/creative side. This led me to complete a 2 year diploma in applied communications, where I learned how to make documentary films, use a camera, make websites, and talk on the radio.

I became interested in glass fusing when my fiance purchased a kiln. It's a very exciting process to open the lid and see what melting your pieces at 1450 degrees farenheit has accomplished. It was sitting there unused because he was busy at work. I was miserable in a cubicle office job, and so I took a risk and left my job to create squareware.

I like to use bold, bright colours in my work. People seem to be drawn like moths to a flame to my large, shiny pendants. So I keep making them, and continue to develop new designs all the time.
