I have only recently begun to explore the world outside using my Canon Rebel XTi in my spare time, and am just learning to use it. My preferences are landscapes, scenery and macro, but much of what i have done so far has only been using basic camera settings. I have Photoshop Elements, however all I've learned to use so far is sharpening the images and colors. Every time I look out the window at something beautiful, I see a photo in it, but am only learning to capture what I see on camera. Timing is everything, and practice is the key.
