What strikes me as extraordinary is that of all the thousands of photos I view on Flickr there are so few that stick. Stick in my mind's eye. Stick in the secret rooms in my head, without me knowing it. Sonia's shots have an effect on me. They pop into my head at strange moments and I find myself returning to them. To view them again and again. To absorb them and let them absorb me. I can't say that about many other photographers on Flickr.
