I like any kind of sports action opportunity - especially surfing off of the HB pier or at Trestles; and I have been doing the off-camera / strobist lighting thing since January 2009.

Yes I have way too many hobbies / avocations but I'm always up for trying something new. And of course there is always something new to learn from everyone else's great shots and post processing.

My shots are more about capturing the color and spontaneity of life than about executing a predetermined vision of the world. I prefer spontaneity to posed because microexpressions are such a powerful force in how we relate to each other - and they are beyond our conscious control (and because I don't know anyone who can sit still enough for a posed shot).
