St. Petersburg Museum of History Archives

 

The Museum has an archival collection of over 8,000 photos, as well as early city directories, Sanborn Maps, vintage postcards, and an assortment of documents, all concerning St. Petersburg, Florida history.

About the St. Petersburg Museum of History

 

The St. Petersburg Historical Society was founded in 1920 by a group led by Mary Wheeler Eaton; the St. Petersburg Museum of History has operated in one building or another at its present location since 1922, it is Pinellas County’s oldest museum. The Mission of the St. Petersburg Museum of History is to collect, preserve and communicate the history and heritage of Florida with emphasis on St. Petersburg and the Pinellas Peninsula.
