Sphinx says “photography is not supposed to be complicated”. And I totally agree with him on that principle. Even with this “simplistic” approach to photography, Sphinx’s stream exudes beautiful complexities which is not that easy to achieve. His way of harnessing the power of light in his landscapes is impressive to say the least. I always feel a sense of wonder and amazement looking at his captured moments. I always find this beautiful interplay and contrast between the different elements in his compositions – dark and light, rough and smooth, murky and pristine, tender and tough. Sphinx may say he is a “shallow person” but his images belie that statement. Purposely or not, his images say something more than meets the eyes. And you can “dive in” without fear of hitting bottom. Thanks for all the beautiful captured moments, Sphinx. Keep them coming. V, California USA

Sphinx.Saldana is one great upcoming photographer and despite only discovering his photostream quite recently, he is already one of my top favourites in Flickr. His shots does not have fancy and elaborate post processing and he really don't need them because he got such a wonderful talent for photography and a keen eye for lighting and scene. All his shots are strikingly enchanting, it draws the viewer directly into the shot with clever composition and wonderful use of light , colors and contrasts. It's a unique style all his own, whether shooting panoramic scenary, bokehs or macros. I am very glad to have the chance to admire and enjoy his work on flickr and also to learn a thing or two in the process. As others here have testify, I must also add that Saldana is a indeed a very nice guy and always very generous with his fellow fickrites and always have time to comment and compliment all their shots, mine included. A fact that I appreciated very much!
