I'm a biophysicist located in Western Pennsylvania, and in the last several years I've been developing an interest in photography. I teach physics at Grove City College (an excellent school - you should check it out). I'm married to Cindy and am the father of four homeschooled children: two have graduated from Grove City College (one in English and one in Mechanical Engineering), one does figurative art as a portrait painter (betsymarsch.com), and the last is our "little" guy who will also major in Mech. E. this fall at Grove City College. We live in a lovely locale in the country and most of these photos were acquired at or near our home.

I'm a Christian who loves science, history (especially ancient), art, and lots of other things. I studied biophysics at Florida State University and did two potdocs, one at Lawrence Livermore Lab in California. In 2013, I did a sabbatical at Vanderbilt Medical School's Biochemistry Department . I've used spectroscopy to study DNA damage by chemical carcinogens and protein - drug binding interactions. But I teach hundreds of students each year and don't have as much time for research as Id' like. I also do a lot of gardening. You'll notice that a lot of my images pertain to art, history, gardening, the outdoors, and of course, science.
