Mostly use my camera to record my interest in mines and geology and if they turn out ok sometimes its more by luck than judgement!

every time i think to myself that *sparty lea* has posted the definitive shot into an underground world that we rarely get a glimpse of - i see another shot emerge that makes me re-think my original thought. it's been fun... very fun - for a variety of reasons. first of all, they are fantastic images, but not just fantastic images - they combine, to my eyes, cinema and documentary to create a fantastic photojounalistic experience. i hope that there is a book or a mini gallery that emerges from the series of photos - at the very least for sparty's personal use. that being said... sparty takes great photos of sheep as well. =)

Sparty Lea's photographic works constantly remind me why town dwelling is so desparately sad, why it's slowly but surely sapping the very fibres of joyful life, nay tearing them from the sinews of my heart. Her photo stream is a breath of fresh air, a veritable green belt in the urban sprawl, except of course when she's down some great big hole in the ground or photographing some gaping open cast pit.

sparty lea nails down some of the best camera haikus i've managed to squirrel away in the camera haiku pool every time i come around to check out this stream, there are always lots of visual treats and teasers for the mind, as well as an attention to the softer and quieter side of imagery
