Hi all you photo buffs, (I apologize for not being a regular contributor here anymore-- I am shooting video daily and very immersed in it all!)

My nickname is Sparky on Flickr, I love photography and still don't know why; but passion is a powerful thing :)

I have been taking photographs since I was a child; started out using a simple box camera my Great aunt gave me over sixty years ago when I was 7 years old.

I worked up to a Pentax Spotmatic in high school, which I really liked and then on to various other 35mm SLR’s after that.

Today I use Canon EOS R5 C and the EOS 5D Mark IV, and a ridiculous set of lenses. I primarily take pictures to honor and celebrate the natural beauty and wonders of this planet, including the creatures we share her with. For sixteen years I became rather addicted to molten lava! Nowadays it's coastal BC's wildlife and mostly video..

I enjoy sharing my images and seeing what my Flickr friends have been pointing their lenses at. I am also now creating digital movies. I do some extreme lava videography, which is used in movies and programs worldwide.
