Historic bridges have been a part of my life for over 30 years now. While the covered spans have mostly survived those years..... The metal ones have been all but obliterated. Approximately 70% of those extant in the mid-80's are now lost forever. Fortunately, Indiana has reversed that trend in the past 5 years and is now leading the nation in metal truss rehabilitation.

 

I consider it a challenge of mine to further advance the education and understanding of the importance in retaining these wonderful links to our past. Hopefully the photos displayed in this group will help people to see the graceful beauty they behold. Check out my new Blog:
