Every story has to start somewhere, and this is mine to tell.

The story begins in 1992...

I was young, and always enjoy driving around with my car in search of Polish sellers who often came to the province of Milan by coaches to sell their stuff for money after USSR collapsed.

My research was primarily aimed at the search of soviet cameras (Fed, Zenith, Lomo, and so on ...) since another hobby of mine is photography. I am always fascinated by Soviet cameras for their mechanics, excellent value for money and that smell of grease which basically showcase the practical soviet design and engineering.

Here's how I stumbled across my first Russian watch.

It was an incredible find, an automatic Boctok Vostok 1.

I was mesmerized by how beautiful it was and tried to guess the stories it could conceal. The rest as they say, is history. I started looking into the Soviet watch history and was taken by the multiple stories I discovered.

Every watch has it's own background story, be it about space, railroads, or warfare. My collection began growing rapidly, as I gathered various brands and labels; Chaika, Luch, Ostwok, Slava, Sturmanskie, Vostok Poljot, Pobeda…

Among all the USSR watches that I could get my hands on, my favourite is always those that were made and designed for space theme; since I live in Italy, to collect Russian watches that were made especially for Italian market became rather easy, those watches represent the USSR and Italy heritage very well.

Today I have collected more than 150 russian timepieces and the collection never stop to grow, each one with an amazing story behind it.

My goal is to share this collection with the world, and to share our common passion, love, and dedication for these gorgeous mechanic wonders, and exchange our experiences and knowledge – this is the only way to find more Russian watches lover out there.
