I am D.K. Pritchett, 'Southern Muse', a North Georgia artist, writer, and publisher of the domain, southernmuse.com. My interests include fine art, graphic art, illustration, genealogy, history, poetry, and writing. Living in the appalachian mountains has influenced my life and my work. I love the people of the appalachians, and the theme is ever-present in my work. Maybe I'm an anthropologist at heart. I enjoy classic rock, bluegrass, folk, alternative, some classical and just about any music that is "unplugged." I love classic movies, old and new. I enjoy American and English literature. Southern literature, particularly, is dear to me. I am not a good photographer. Most of my photos are used for inspiration or to gather details for paintings, or to document our family tree and the families of others. I also keep photos of my drawings, paintings, and illustrations.
