Duncan Kirk Bohannon is an acclaimed up-and-coming composer for visual media. To date, he has written for CBS Television Distribution's own music library and provided additional music for the hit television series Human Target (Fox) and Chuck (NBC). Duncan has also composed for over a dozen short films, and for the award-winning features Bad Faith and And We Will Dance. Further, he is an experienced pianist, working professionally as an accompanist since 1999.

 

Mr. Bohannon obtained his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2009, and received two Bachelor of Arts degrees — one in Piano Performance and another in Music Technology — from Indiana University in 2007. During his undergraduate studies, he won Indiana University Southeast's annual Concerto Competition and performed G. Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" with IU Southeast's concert orchestra. He also received recognition by two IU Southeast competitions for his work in film music.

 

Currently, Duncan resides in Los Angeles, CA, where he greatly enjoys his work and looks forward to the challenges the future will bring him.
