I like to keep it real and I try to be the truthful with my images, though all images are just visions that you have captured on a medium.

A lot of my video work these days (vimeo.com/souleman) is very modeled, thus I try deviate from that while shooting stills.

My professional work requires me to the very technically proficient, so I battle between making everything perfect for a client and wanting to have things be raw and land where they will. Being tech-savvy is great, but I feel it is a waste if you do not use it to innovate and push the limits in whatever medium you are working with and whatever platform you are presenting on.
