I have been taking pictures almost all my life and of course, animals have been the main subject. Lately I have been trying to perfect my techniques especially when photographing birds. I have come to realize it is not easy and I am certainly not rich, working for an animal rescue nonprofit, so expensive name brand lenses are out for me...but I do the best I can with the equipment I have.

Going out to wild places and photographing wild things is the most relaxing thing for me to do. It grounds me and makes me realize we live on a very special unique planet. I was once asked by a smal child if all the birds & animals disappeared what would I do? I said I'd die from a "great lonliness of the heart". That is the truth of it.
