I have carried a camera since around 8yrs old. Image making has always interested me for the power it has over the soul. At 18 I studied photography at college obtaining a Diploma in photography. After that the photography dwindled as I took an interest in the moving image. However the advent of digital reignited the passion, making it affordable and allowing me to learn and explore more.

I put my photography to use over 20 years as a CSI but this never really offered much opportunity for creativity. I now teach CSI's, which includes teaching photography as well. I really enjoy this and it has given me the opportunity to explore other areas of photography.

I mostly enjoy landscapes and nature, anything that offers me the chance to be outside and photograph the natural world. If snow is involved even better and I have a great passion for the west highlands of Scotland.

Following redundancy I am now wanting to expand and develop my photography and am combining my love of photography, the great outdoors and man's best friend into starting my own dog photography business. I have an album dedicated to some of my dog photography work. I am currently a volunteer with the charity Dogs Trust where I hope my images of their dogs will help them find their forever home.

Thankyou for looking at my images.

I welcome compliments, criticsm and constructive comments. Just please say something. I believe it is important to help and support each other by saying something, otherwise how else do we grow and develop as photographers?

Thanks,

Soren.
