Community-Driven Recovery and Development

Community-Driven Recovery and Development (CDRD) is an initiative of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and currently operates in: Somalia; Yemen; Ethiopia; Sudan; South Sudan; Ivory Coast; and Guinea. It is a bottom-up approach that allows communities to identify and address local problems.
CDRD allows communities to drive recovery and development activities. This process is more responsive to demands, more inclusive, more sustainable, and more cost-effective than traditional assistance projects.
