Ten years ago I got my first dslr a Canon 400d. I started traveling so I needed a good camera a friend told me. Never had much interest in photography but after my trip to Jordan I got hooked. My journey into photography started. First the usual suspects, sunsets, zoo's, flower, birds ect. I did some safari trips to South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. In Kenya I started to do my first "street" shots and to be honest I was more happy with those pictures then the one of the lions, zebra's ect. Those shots told a story I could feel the emotion of the people I captured. So thats were I discovered street photography for the first time. Off course the first few steps into this photography was a bit scrary and I had to overcome a lot.......taking pictures of unknown people can be scary will they bite you or will they get mad at you ;-)

Nowadays 99% of my work is street photography and I have overcome my fear of taking pictures of people. The streets of all big cities are my playground, but my favorite city is Tokyo. Lots of my street is taken there. I love it out there, the people, the rush of the city, modern, but also traditional in a way I had never experienced before. On every corner I could find another small story to capture. A city of millions where you can get lost in the crowds finding that one jewel of a street shot.
