I'm not sure Jiffy needs this one more enthusiastic testimony as many people before me has said beautiful things about him as a photographer and as a human being, and certainly said it better than I can do. But I'll try my best anyway as it's important to me to add my own clumsy words! My much-loved friend Jiffy is a sweet kind-hearted Bonnie lad, with a great sense of humour, and a much talented photographer. His pictures are amazing and always creative. Each time I see a new one, I ask myself how he did it! I love his hearts, his little swirls, his stars of golden light, but also his funny and beautiful pictures of Alfey and Bramble, and his wonderful captures of Scotland landscapes. So you can't be disappointed visiting his photostream, and I'm sure that, like me, you'll want to favorite and comment all his pics! Please, Jiffy, go on doing what you do, you do it so well ;-) x

Now I will try to say something about John (or Jiffy) may be it has already been said by others, but I will do my best to tell it in english (not my motherlanguage), I hope it's understandable. At the first time when I saw his photostream and saw his amazing creations – so touching, so sensitive, his words, his processing on his wonderful photos – forgive me, but my first thought was: This is a woman! Yes, I had never seen such a photostream, so creative and insightful, before! John is such an extremely talented, creative photographer. His golden images, Images with hearts and drops are my favorites. I also love his comments, his funny and prosaic and beautiful words. I feel privileged to have him as a Flickr friend! I have been soooo very remiss in not adding my twopenneth worth about my mate John. There are some people that one meets that one feels as if one has known for a life time. John is one of them. He is funny, upfront about his battles with bi-polar and cancer, but most of all he takes the most amazing photos that come straight from the heart. I am ALWAYS in awe of his images and he captures subjects that are very dear to my heart. And ohhhhh the use of light, it takes his photos to another dimension. And if you think I am waxing lyrical, look at his photo stream and you will understand why. We all need friends and I am glad John is one of mine!

When I see the name Solar Scot, I am eager to access his photostream and see what his latest creation is! Jiffy is an extremely talented, creative photographer. His comments are friendly and funny and his words are prosaic and beautiful and always fit the shot. With his golden photos, or his Mr Tattyhead series and Scottish-themed food photos, he inspires me to be more creative with indoor shots and improve in an area of photography in which which I am generally rubbish. Finally, I feel privileged to have him as a Flickr buddy!

I only know John through Flickr but his positive and engaging personality come through in his comments.
