I have been interested in Solar observing for the past 40 odd years. I started out projecting the suns image and making drawings of sunspots. All my observing/imaging of the sun was in white light until about 5 years ago when I obtained a Coronado PST telescope for observing in halpha. Initially using a compact camera to image I moved on to a DMK high frame rate mono camera. Back in October last year I borrowed a double stacker for the PST. This allows me to see detail down to 0.5 angstrom as opposed to the 1 angstrom of the unmodified PST. I have recently purchased my own double stacker.
My DMK camera had a firewire interface and ceased to work fairly recently after giving me about 4 years service.
I replaced it with a DMK Au21 618 which has the new Sony chip giving greater sensitivity and reaching further into the infrared.
