About Me

Photography is a passion for me and has been since childhood. From borrowed cameras or my dad's Brownie (which I still have), I captured whatever caught my fancy. I started with black and white and graduated to color when I bought my first SLR in the early 80's.

Unfortunately I put down my camera in the mid 90's and did not take any shots till I bought a 2.3 MP FujiFilm digital camera a few years back. Then in 2006 I got a Nikon D200 for my birthday and it does not leave my sight, ever.

2009: I upgraded to a Nikon D700. This is an amazing camera and well worth the upgrade for me. I find I enjoy available light photography and the high ISO performance is incredible.

However, despite all this I am learning a lot about creative photography. I am continually amazed at the level of talent exhibited on this site.

And I thank all those who take the time to visit and expecially those who give constructive criticism.
