The land of the mind, more real than real. There… converge the limits, dimensions transmute without limit... After “the journey” to the hinterland of the soul, a line of nightly landscapes that connotes the internal world and perhaps the metaphysical search of man, the painter returns to the figure and continues the investigation on issues of human relations in time. Shades, deflected by intellectual prisms, fill the distance between man and woman, between real space and the space of the mind. Absence becomes intense presence, which unfolds like a shadow in present time. The mirror - observer of the passaged time – registers and alludes to this passage at the specific eternal moment, where past - present - future coexist. In all the work of the painter discern a faint movement, a breeze... a game with space and time that conduces to virtual expectation and intense sentiments. We find again the familiar elements of the painter, the window, the figure, the enigmatic curtain, that waves and functions as landmark between the inside and the outside, visible and invisible, and leads to another dimension of dreamland through a very personal viewpoint. In the group of paintings inspired from the poetic work of Helen Vakalo "stories of kyra Rodalina" the painting language converses with the written verse with humour and a dramatic approach. K.
